Cotswold Micro Dissection Needles
SINGLE USE - Electrosurgery Accessories
Micro-Dissection Electrosurgery Needles,
exceptionally fine needles for precise monopolar dissection.
Designed for use with virtually all electrosurgery generators and the majority of electrosurgery handles / fingerswitches, the Cotswold range of
monopolar micro-dissection needles offers the surgeon the ability to direct the power from the electrosurgery generator to an area (typically 3 micron) at the needle tip.
Typical uses of the cotswold needle electrodes are:
ENT Procedures |
Reconstructive Procedures |
Orthopaedic MIS Surgery |
Oral Maxillofacial |
Aesthetic Procedures |
With such a small and focused point, the amount of power required
to create a surgical effect is dramatically reduced as the electrosurgery
current is concentrated to the smaller size – this reduction minimises the heat produced and hence the thermal energy spread.
• Only low wattages of electrosurgery power required
• Reduced tissue necrosis
• Precision electrosurgery effect
• Reduced smoke
• Faster healing
Traditionally produced “sharp” electrosurgery needles become blunt very quickly during a procedure due to the stainless steel “melting”, particularly with such a fine point. The Cotswold needles are produced in rigid, high temperature pure tungsten which has a melt temperature of 3400ºC, significantly higher than those temperatures used in electrosurgery.
